  2. i learned the meaning of psychology which is study of mind and behavior .Its immediate goal is to understand humanity by both discovering general principles and exploring specific cases . there are some approaches in psychology these are:
1.the biological approach Physiological Processes and Genetics
2.the behavioristic approach Conditioning and Learning
3.the cognitive approach Memory and other Cognitive Processes
4.the psychodynamic approach Psychoanalysis and its Offshoots
5.the humanistic approach Rogers, Maslow, and Others
    perspectives:
1.perspective on development Applying the Approaches to Developmental Psychology
2.perspective on social behavior Applying the Approaches to Social Psychology
3.perspective on abnormal behavior Applying the Approaches to Abnormal Psychology
4.psychology on perspective Past, Present, and Future Directions

    insights..
there are factors that may affect our behaviors these are DNA , genes and heredity.
the biological approach believes that most behavior is inherited and has an adaptive or evolutionary function. for example in the weeks immediately after the birth of a child, levels of testosterone in fathers drop by more than 30 percent . this has an evolutionary function. testosterone-deprived men are less likely to wander off in search of new mates to inseminate. they are also less aggressive , which is useful when there is a baby around.

  4. Psychology is concerned with human behavior. The psychology comes from the Greek word psyche means "soul" and logos means "study" .It is all about the study about how and why people behave feel or think the way they do .

    Approaches of Psychology
    *Biological approach
    *Behavioral approach
    *Cognitive approach
    *humanistic approach
    *psychodynamic approach
    *perspective approach

    Biological Approach
It is all about neuropsychology, studying active brain activity to understand how the body and brain works while doing physical or mental work. No other fields of psychology has this way of utilizing modern equipments to probe into the brain where all mental processes and behavior come from. Also, localization of which part of the brain is activated upon certain stimulations are performed could help those who suffer from motor disabilities so that they can potentially recover or improve lost functions of their body parts.

    *insights*
I discovered that if we compare aare brain in the computer, our brain will be the hardware and our mind is the software.

I noticed that there are so many explanation why we are studying about this. It can affect our daily life and also our future. We should always take a lot of care of ourselves and also to the things that sorrounds us .

I realized that we should always be thankful because God gave us a normal life not like the others . For example, most of us has a complete body parts of the body. It depends on us hot we will make it work. We must be productive and responsible to be a useful one.

  5. I LEARN ABOUT THE BIOLOGICAL APPRROACH

Biology is defined as the study of life (from the Greek bios meaning ‘life’ and logos meaning ‘study’). A biological perspective is relevant to the study of Psychology in three ways:

    1. Comparative method: different species of animal can be studied and compared. This can help in the search to understand human behaviour.

    2. Physiology: how the nervous system and hormones work, how the brain functions, how changes in structure and/or function can affect behaviour. For example, we could ask how prescribed drugs to treat depression affect behaviour through their interaction with the nervous system.

    3. Investigation of inheritance: what an animal inherits from its parents, mechanisms of inheritance (genetics). For example, we might want to know whether high intelligence is inherited from one generation to the next.

Each of these biological aspects, the comparative, the physiological and the genetic, can help explain human behaviour.

  11. Psychology

Psychology is the science of human behavior, the mind, and mental processes in humans and animals as they interact with each other and the environment. As a practice, psychologists focus on diagnosing, assessing, and delivering preventive and therapeutic services directly to individuals.

In academic settings, psychology has grown to be one of the most widely chosen areas of undergraduate study. Areas of specialty include personality, group interaction, physiology and behavior, intelligence and memory, emotion, sensation and perception, genetics, and states of consciousness and the abnormal development and treatment of these processes.

    *Biological approach
    *Behavioral approach

The human brain is the center of the human nervous system. Enclosed in the cranium, it has the same general structure as the brains of other mammals, but is over three times as large as the brain of a typical mammal with an equivalent body size.[1] Most of the expansion comes from the cerebral cortex, a convoluted layer of neural tissue that covers the surface of the forebrain. Especially expanded are the frontal lobes, which are associated with executive functions such as self-control, planning, reasoning, and abstract thought. The portion of the brain devoted to vision is also greatly enlarged in human beings.

Spinal Cord is the official journal of the International Spinal Cord Society. It provides complete coverage of all aspects of spinal injury and disease.

    insight
    > I realized from biological approach, how to improve my personal life, so that I can contribute well to the society. I should be productive or more responsible to make myself useful.

other than I learned also that if we compare the brain to the computer, mind is the software while the brain is the hardware. because the brain can be touch while the mind can't.

  19. Psychology
Psychology is a very important part of medical science. Human behavior is very crucial to understand so that essential cures can be given at the right time. Several people develop problems with their behavior or understanding and cognitive skills. With the help of psychology, these people can be helped and they can lead a better life.

There are several branches of psychology that study the various aspects of human behavior. Psychology can be a very broad subject because the human brain itself is very complicated. Even today, we do not have answers to several things about human behavior.

  20. Biological approach
The evolutionary perspective offers an alternative approach to understand what happiness or quality of life is about. Briefly, it focuses on the questions: What features are included in the brain that allow humans to distinguish between positive and negative states of mind, and how do these features improve humans' ability to survive and reproduce? It claims that answering these questions points towards an understanding of what happiness is about and how to best exploit the capacities of the brain with which humans are endowed. The perspective is presented in detail by the evolutionary biologist Bjørn Grinde in his book Darwinian Happiness, as well as in a more formal way

  34. Reinforcement is when a behavior is increased or maintained by its consequences. Reinforcement may be either positive or negative. The term comes from behavioral psychologists -- those who focus on the factors that cause and maintain behaviors (or actions).

Positive reinforcement occurs when a behavior is increased because it is followed by the presentation of something desirable. For example, a child who is praised each time he puts his clothes in the laundry will be more likely to clean up his clothes again in the future.

Negative reinforcement occurs when a behavior is increased because it is followed by the removal of something undesirable. Some experts believe that this is why self-harm and other impulsive behaviors are often maintained in peopl

  40. summarizing about the social psychology!!!!

social psychology is the concerned with our social dimentions of individual behavior ... it deals with the both the way we think about our sellves... social psychology are faces many challenges including the our needs for experimental realism and external validity and i learned that researcher prefer to controlled controlled of laboratory experiments maybe it difficult to meets these requirement convincingly in a laboratory

and also ilearned that cognitive approach .. also sees agresion as learned ,but emphasizes the role of imitation ,recently the general aggression model has attempted to combine the various cognitive mechanism along with the role of biological ..

and also i learned the psychodynamic approach that views the agressions as an annate drive which can be directedly by catharies and dejence mechanism but it is not be eliminated...

and about the humanistic approach it is the behavior that responce to cicumtances which threaten the individuals ability to satisfy there needss

    thats all thankyou :)
